Rainbow 6 had riot shields way before COD. Just sayin'. Unlike COD and BF4 though, you could use a pistol despite it being more close quarters and squad based as well as ironically being much more exposed to explosives.

To be honest, I don't think many consider Zelda to be an RPG in a pure sense, you get items and more health but it's more of an action-adventure sort of game.
I really did love Suikoden I & II, I felt the character stories were really good and you really can't help but feel sorry for the main character in I. It's really great how they can mix comedy and tragedy so much, not to mention getting all those characters to recruit is greater for people who like sidequesting and collecting like me. Hell, in Suikoden II, there 5 random squirrel things to recruit just for laughs.

As far as I'm aware, Apple's various OS's and some other do use the recent (and lexicologically accurate) definition of 1000 and refer to 1024 as gibi rather than giga.

I think with consoles becoming more convergent with PCs, the life cylce will be shorter. However I think there will be increasing focus on the console firmware over hardware. I agree with Jim Sterling that consoles are increasingly finding it difficult to justify their existence by being cut-down PCs and need to offer a unique experience like the Wii U.

If their policies were that good, they would have stood their ground. Instead, they buckled within what, a month? Face it MS, consoles aren't meant for pure digital. Part of the console appeal is pick up and play. Remember the PC is a more open market. With the policies MS were going with, MS would have likely been the only retailer of XB1 games. Monopolies are bad for consumers (MS has 100% of the XB1 game market).
Steam has resellers such as GMG as well as competition from other digital stores like origin, uplay, gamersgate, GOG etc. Not to mention that PC as a platform isn't intrinsic to steam unlike XB1 and MS.
IMO MS would be better...
